Gail Boysen-Presit and her family moved from Rochester, Minnesota, to Bloomington, Illinois, where they lived during her elementary school years at Washington School. She graduated from Winter Park (Florida) High School, where she won blue ribbons in the Scholastic Art Awards Exhibit, 1978 and 1979. In 2001, she married Rodger Presit (1961-2016) and lives in Belleview, Florida. In 2021, when she donated this collection, she was an architect at Linn Engineering and Design in Winter Park, Florida.
