The Museum will host a special reception for our friends with the Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27 in the Museum’s historic Governor Fifer Courtroom. This group associated with the National Parks Service will soon install large gateway signs outside the communities of Bloomington-Normal, Quincy, and Danville that read “Entering the Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area”. Sarah Seiler Watson, executive director of Looking for Lincoln and the Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area, will unveil a replica of the new highway sign and share a progress report on the organizations efforts to promote heritage tourism along this important corridor. Refreshments will be served.
