Starts at 7:00 PM
Please join us for the third History Reads Book Club of 2016. The featured book for this meeting is Lincoln’s Ladder to the Presidency: The Eighth Judicial Circuit by local retired lawyer, author, and general Lincoln enthusiast, Guy C. Fraker. In this work, Fraker examines Abraham Lincoln the lawyer and future president through the lens of McLean County—including the land and its people, the respective impacts that each had on Lincoln, and vice versa.
Discussion will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Governor Fifer Courtroom and will last approximately 60 minutes. This free, quarterly program is brought to you by the Museum and Bloomington Public Library. Free parking is available on the street, as well as at the Lincoln Parking Deck, located one block south of the Museum on Front Street.
Copies of this book will be available for checkout at Bloomington Public Library or may be requested via interlibrary loan through your local public library.
