Abraham Lincoln in McLean County

Museum Librarian Bill Kemp will give an illustrated talk on Abraham Lincoln’s opposition to slavery’s expansion. Attention will be given to Lincoln’s rise in the emerging anti-slavery movement that would become, by 1856, the Republican Party. Bloomington served as a key stage for Lincoln during this pivotal time in American history.
