In 1953, a five-year-old girl traveled Route 66 in a Model A pickup truck with her parents, four brothers, and her Dad’s two hunting dogs. Share the humor of Terri Ryburn’s unforgettable family trip on Saturday, June 6 at 3:00 p.m. in the historic Gov. Fifer Courtroom
In 2005, Dr. Terri Ryburn retired after 25 years at Illinois State University where she was a full-time administrator and part-time instructor. Terri is a writer and a poet who continually seeks new ways to share the humor she finds in everyday life. She is a published playwright and an actor and is working on her memoirs. And, if that’s not enough to keep her busy in retirement, Terri is a stand-up comedian.
She has found her life’s work in her love of Route 66. Terri bought a gas station on old Route 66 in Normal and is restoring it to its 1931 glory.
