Located in the
magnificent Old McLean County Courthouse on North Main Street in the
heart of the downtown Bloomington Historic District, the building
itself is a sight to behold.
The McLean County
Museum of History building is undergoing phase two of a major exterior
restoration. The project will run from March 2008 into November 2008.
The museum will remain open during the restoration. In the months of
June July and August of 2008 interior work will be taking place that
may temporarily cause some areas of the building to close. The west
grounds will be closed off for materials storage; a safety barrier will
be erected over walkways; and the east half of the building will be
fenced. Please call (309) 827-0428 if you have any questions.
