Historic Photos

What a View!

June 26th, 2015

The McLean County Museum of History occupies the old county courthouse in historic downtown Bloomington. The Museum’s photo collections include many fabulous photographs of the old courthouse’s prior life as the center of county government. This November 16, 1953 vertigo-inducing scene, for instance, shows Marion H. Wright atop the courthouse flagpole to repair a broken pulley and repaint the pole. Hang on tight Marion!
