Mystery Snake Photo Update: We still haven't ID'd any people in the photo, but we heard from Angelo P. Capparella, associate professor of zoology and curator of vertebrates at Illinois State University- The snake pictured is "a big Bullsnake (now called Gophersnake)" There was also a call for action- "Let your Facebook readers know to contact me (apcappar@ilstu.edu) with any recent herp [amphibian and reptile] photos for central Illinois as I’ve been accumulating some good records through citizen reports."
