Ready, Aim, Fire! BPD Firing Range, May 1936

April 29th, 2016

Seen here are four members of the Bloomington Police Department taking target practice with their Smith & Wesson .38 service revolvers. The more industrious members of the BPD had earlier converted a hayloft in the garage wing of old City Hall (located at the northwest corner of East and Monroe streets) into a combination clubroom and firing range! That’s Police Chief Paul F. Giermann on the left and Patrolman Cecil Richardson on the right. The two officers in the middle are unidentified.
