The holiday season often means hectic times for those traveling by air. Commercial air service to Bloomington began on Nov. 6, 1950 with Ozark’s first flight into Bloomington Municipal Airport (now called Central Illinois Regional Airport). Local officials were guests on the inaugural flight.Ozark remained a local carrier until pulling out of the Twin Cities in the spring of 1980.
